Architecture Energy and the Occupant's Perspective
Conference Venue [français] |
PLEA 2009 was held at Université Laval’s School of architecture, a 350 year old passive low-energy building in the heart of historic Quebec City. In the respect of an old European tradition, a sundial was installed in the central courtyard in 1773 on which can be read Dies Nostri Quasi Umbra (Days fly like shadows) reminding the world the urge to act now and adapt our perspective about architecture, energy, inhabitants and climate change! |

Architecture, Energy and the Occupant’s Perspective was bonified by leisurely short strolls throughout the event’s various locations. Quebec City’s close knit urban fabric constitutes a unique setting to experience environmental diversity at first hand.
